We started Class Dojo today.  We earn points for doing good stuff and we lose points for doing bad stuff.  When we get 50 points by the end of the week, we get a certificate.  One is for not doing tic-tac-toe for a week and the other is for free time on the iPad.  There is a late start on Monday.

We talked about plants and their life cycles in Science.  We started learning about telling time to 5 minutes in Math.  Tomorrow is Dr. Seuss' birthday!

In Science we put corn in a paper towel in a baggie.  We are going to watch them grow.  In music we sang a song called "Light Up the World Tonight".

Over our long weekend, the butterflies came out of their chrysalises!  We made a life cycle of a frog and a butterfly in Science.  Picture day is on Thursday.  Easter is at the end of March.

We had recess inside all day today because it was too cold outside.  It was fun doing inside recess!  In math we learned how to measure using cups and quarts.  It was fun.  In Science we are learning about the life cycle of a butterfly.  We are waiting for our butterflies to come out of their chrysalises.

Today we watched the movie Shiloh.  Mrs. Sateren read us the book so we got to watch the movie of it.  We loved it!  There is a two hour late start on Monday, February 18.
