Cool Day

Today we read When a Dragon Moves In with Mrs. Metzler.  We had to finish our math books today since January is over.  We learned about consumers and producers and we sold stuff to Mr. Johnson's class.  We are celebrating Valentine's Day and everyone can bring Valentines and candy for each other. I am proud of our grade because we almost won Survival of the Fittest in the health run.

How to Write a Story

Today in writing we worked on adding details to our characters and settings.  We did Daily 5.  In December it was my brother's birthday.  I am proud of our Blue Ribbon School.

In math we are learning about shapes. Today we learned how to trace shapes to make new shapes.  We only have two days left to finish our January centers!  I am proud of how hard our class is working to get our stores ready for our shopping day on Friday.

100th Day of Second Grade!

Today we celebrated the 100th day of school.  We did stations with Mr. Johnson's class.  Everything was about 100.  It was fun!  Remember that our buddy tests are tomorrow.  I am proud that we made it to the 100th day of school!

We learned a lot of math.  We ate lunch.  It was quesadilla day.  We all read a book in Guidance called My Favorite Book.  We had to stay inside for recess all day.  We wrote about dreams for Martin Luther King, Jr.  We work a lot.  Thursday is the 100th Day of School!  It is so fun on the 100th Day of School.  I am proud that Senator Fischer came to visit us.  She even came to our classroom.

Best Day Ever

We are learning about subtracting and regrouping.  Everybody has troubles with it every now and then.  We learned about needs and wants and that scarce means there's not enough of something.  I remember when we saw the snow village before Christmas.  It was cool.  I am proud that people helped me rebuild the snowfort at recess after another student broke it.

Blogger Notes

Today we learned more about how to regroup when subtracting.  Then we had music and reading.  We learned how to make a cool snowflake.  I'm proud of our school for being a Blue Ribbon School.

Best Day

We learned how to regroup 1 ten for 10 ones.  If you show your manners, that is called being prompt.  Remember that we have a new guidance book.  I am proud of myself for winning the quiet game.
