My name is Regina.  I am the blogger this week.  Today was our second day of second grade.  We made a big puzzle with our classroom rules on it.  We learned about our gathering place.  When Mrs. Schlickbernd makes the windchime sound, we go to the rug.

I took some pictures of our classroom before Meet and Greet tonight, but I wanted to do something fun with them. So I made this quick video using Animoto to show them off. We will use Animoto many times throughout the school year! I look forward to meeting my new second graders tonight!

We did iPads during technology time.  In math we learned more about place value to one thousand.  It was funny when Andres flushed the toilet and it didn't stop forever and ever.

Today we started to learn about three-digit addition.  I think it's going to be tricky!  Tomorrow's lunch is chili cheese fries, vegetables, roll, and cantaloupe.

We did a super fun activity this morning for writing! We chose somewhere else in the United States that we wanted to live and we wrote about it. Mrs. Schlickbernd made a Google form for us to fill out with our writing, so we typed it on the iPads then we turned it in online! We took the information we wrote and mapped it at www.batchgeo.com. You can see our finished map below. If you click on the flags, you can read about where we'd want to live and why.
