Today we began making our air users in Science. Mrs. Schlickbernd was gone at a meeting all day, so Mrs. Scott was our sub. We don't have school on Monday.

In math we learned that the greater-than symbol wants to eat the big number. It was funny when Mrs. Schlickbernd rang the bell and it scared Adrianna! Tomorrow is wear red day for Red Ribbon Week.

Today we learned about comparing two-digit numbers. When we have two tens the same, we have to look at the ones. It was funny when it was quiet work time and Ella's lion meowed. The Halloween Parade is on Friday, October 28, 2011.

Today we took our buddy tests on long i words. We learned about writing number words in math. Next week is Red Ribbon Week. We are supposed to bring our favorite stuffed animal on Monday to celebrate Hugs Not Drugs.

Today we learned about place value and all about ones and tens. We made paper airplanes in science to learn more about air and using air.

Today in science we learned more about air. We made balloon rockets out of a long green balloon, a baggie, a straw and some fishing line. The balloon rockets with two balloons went fast!

Cataleena and Olivia

We learned about how air can move a propeller. We learned about proper nouns and common nouns. We corrected a sentence and showed our changes with Sentence Karate moves! We learned a song about nouns. It was very "nouny"! Jonathan in our class won the hot air balloon coloring contest for second graders! Congrats Jonathan!
